Qualifications:

• Applicants should possess a postgraduate degree in Science or Technology with a specialization in any of the following disciplines: Atmospheric Science, Meteorology, Hydrology, RS-GIS, Forestry, Environmental Science, Environmental Management, Water Resource Management, Earth Sciences, Geology, Disaster Management, Civil Engineering, or Geo-informatics, obtained from a recognized university.

Experiences:

• Candidates must have a minimum of two years’ research and development experience.

Skills:

• Proficiency in RS/GIS tools and techniques.
• Ability to collect, analyze data, and develop manuscripts.
• Skilled in project report writing with hands-on fieldwork experience.

Additional Skills:

• Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
• Candidates must also be proficient in basic computer applications, including word processing, spreadsheets, and PowerPoint presentations.

MBDA Recruitment 2025 – Age Limit:

• The upper age limit is 28 years. Age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC, women, and persons with disabilities will be provided as per Government of India norms.

MBDA Recruitment 2025 – Contract Period & Additional Benefits:

• The appointment will be on a one-year contractual basis, with the possibility of renewal depending on performance and project continuation. Upon selection, candidates will be given the full terms of engagement and must sign an agreement with MBDA.
• The monthly salary will be as specified above, and additional House Rent Allowance (HRA) will be provided as applicable from time to time.

MBDA Recruitment 2025 – Selection Process:

• The selection process will include a written test or assignment followed by a personal interview.
• The written test will assess candidates on Subject Matter Knowledge, General Knowledge, Reasoning, and English.
• Both the written test and personal interview will be conducted exclusively in Shillong.

Important Information / Recruitment Guidelines:

1. Minimum Qualifications:
   Possessing the minimum qualifications and experience does not guarantee a call for the interview. MBDA reserves the right to shortlist candidates based on higher qualifications, experience, or any other criteria deemed appropriate.
2. Contact Details:
   Candidates must provide accurate contact numbers and email addresses to ensure timely communication. Only shortlisted candidates will be informed about the screening test, written test, or interview via SMS/email.
3. Shortlist Display:
   The list of shortlisted candidates will be published on the MBDA website (www.mbda.gov.in) and on the office notice board.
4. Additional Verification:
   MBDA may conduct additional examinations, skill tests, or request extra documentary evidence to verify educational qualifications and experience.
5. Relaxation of Criteria:
   If suitable candidates with the prescribed qualifications are unavailable, MBDA may relax the criteria and consider candidates with relevant experience for lower positions.
6. Vacancy Numbers:
   The number of vacancies mentioned in the advertisement is tentative. MBDA reserves the right to increase, decrease, or adjust vacancies at the time of selection.
7. Extension / Cancellation:
   MBDA may extend the application deadline or cancel/fill any or all advertised positions at its discretion without providing reasons.
8. No TA/DA:
   No travel allowance (TA) or dearness allowance (DA) will be provided for attending the written test or interview.
9. Canvassing:
   Any form of canvassing will lead to disqualification.
10. Existing MBDA/MBMA Staff:
    Eligible staff already working with MBDA/MBMA can apply through their reporting officer. Newly appointed staff must complete at least one year in their current position before applying.
