APPSC Section Officer Recruitment 2025 – Eligibility Criteria
Candidates applying must fulfill the following:
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized University.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of regular service as Assistant Section Officer (ASO).
- Performance: At least five consecutive “Very Good” APAR gradings in the last 5 years.

- The Application form can be downloaded from the APPSC website: https://appsc.gov.in. Fill it out completely and get it recommended by your Cadre Controlling Authority, including details of your APAR grading for the last five years.
- Only applications nominated by the Cadre Controlling Authority with at least five consecutive “Very Good” APAR gradings will be considered.
- Make sure to attach all the required documents listed in the documents required section.
- Submit the completed and recommended application to the APPSC Office, Itanagar, on or before 30th October 2025 (Thursday) by 3:00 PM through your Cadre Controlling Authority.

- Recent passport-size photograph (white background, front-facing, without headgear/sunglasses).
- Self-attested copies of Degree Certificates and Mark Sheets.
- Self-attested Matriculation Certificate (proof of age).

- Self-attested appointment order as ASO.

- ACR Grading (last 5 years) – 20 Marks
- Viva-Voce (Interview) – 40 Marks
- Total Marks: 340
Candidates must score a minimum of 33% overall and at least 20% in each paper to qualify for the interview.
