Post 1: Students Activity & Sports (SAS) Officer
- Vacancies: 1 (UR)
- Location: Cherapunji, Meghalaya
- Pay: ₹56,100 (Pay Level 10, 7th CPC)
- Age Limit: 35 years
Essential Qualification:
- Master’s Degree in Physical Education or Master’s Degree in Sports Science, or an equivalent degree with at least 60% marks, or equivalent CGPA/UGC grade, from a recognized University/Institute.
- Must have represented the University/College in inter-University, inter-collegiate, state, or national level competitions.
- Must have qualified the national-level test conducted by the UGC or any other agency approved by the UGC.
- Must have passed the physical fitness test conducted in accordance with the regulations.
Desirable:
- Experience in guiding groups of students in creative or sports activities.
- Higher degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) in a relevant discipline is preferred.
- Proven record of organizing events as a student convener or later in life.
- Strong involvement and track record in sports, drama, music, films, painting, photography, journalism, or other student/event management activities during college or university studies.

NIT Meghalaya 2025 Recruitment – Documents Required
- Applicants must upload self-attested copies of their community/category certificate (OBC candidates must provide OBC Status and Non-Creamy Layer certificate issued on or after 1st April 2024), educational certificates and mark sheets of 10th, 12th, and all degrees, along with any experience certificates, additional qualification certificates (if any), and age proof such as HSLC/HSC or equivalent.
NIT Meghalaya 2025 Recruitment – Application Fees & Payment Details
- Application Fee: ₹500 for Post 1: Students Activity & Sports (SAS) Officer and ₹200 for all other posts.
- Exemption: SC, ST, PwD, and female candidates are exempted from paying the fee (must upload valid certificate).
- Multiple Posts: Separate applications and fees are required for each post applied.
- Payment Mode: Fees must be paid online only through SBI Collect by following the instructions provided on the website.
- The Application fee, once paid, is non-refundable under any circumstances. Candidates are required to keep a copy of the transaction receipt for future reference, and applications or payments made through any mode other than the prescribed online process will not be accepted.

- The list of shortlisted candidates will be published on the Institute’s website. Only shortlisted candidates will be informed for Test/Interview via website updates or email.
- Candidates working in Government, Semi-Government, or reputed private institutions must apply through proper channel. An advance copy may be sent before the deadline, but a No Objection Certificate (NOC) must be produced at the time of interview; otherwise, they may not be considered.
