About Meghalayan Age Limited (MAL)

Meghalayan Age Limited (MAL) is a State Government company of Meghalaya, established on 17 June 2020 under the Companies Act, 2013 and functioning under the Planning Department.

The company derives its name from the Meghalayan Age, a globally recognized geological period linked to evidence found in the Mawmluh Cave, Sohra (Cherrapunjee).

MAL works closely with departments such as Tourism, PWD, Soil & Water Conservation, and other stakeholders to promote sustainable tourism and infrastructure development in Meghalaya. The company is fully owned by the Government of Meghalaya and complies with all statutory and financial norms.

Post No. 1: Design Hub Manager

• Job Location: Shillong, Meghalaya
• Nature of Job: Contractual

• Monthly Salary: ₹31,200

Job Responsibilities – Design Hub Manager

The selected candidate will be responsible for the overall management and operations of the Design Hub and MAL Store. Key duties include:

• Managing day-to-day operations of the Design Hub & MAL Store.
• Coordinating with vendors across Meghalaya for product procurement.
• Planning and curating seasonal product collections for retail stores.
• Handling product costing, price negotiation, and final retail pricing.
• Supervising inventory management and store operations.
• Acting as the main spokesperson and coordinator between vendors and buyers.

Essential Skills Required:

Applicants must possess the following skills:

• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• High professional integrity and strong work ethics.
• Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.

Job Responsibilities – Store Inventory Manager

The selected candidate will be responsible for effective inventory management and store coordination. Key duties include:

• Managing inventory at the MAL Store.
• Identifying and maintaining accurate records of all stock in store and on shelves.
• Maintaining MIS / ERP systems for all store products.
• Planning and maintaining product display within the store.
• Coordinating with the Store Manager for day-to-day store maintenance.
• Handling customer relations and support.

• Good written and verbal communication abilities.
• Strong professional integrity and work ethics.
• Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with different teams.

Job Responsibilities – MAL Store Manager

The Store Manager will be responsible for managing sales operations and customer engagement at the MAL Store. Key responsibilities include:

• Customer relationship management.
• Acting as the main point of contact for sales at the store.
• Coordinating inventory management with the store team.
• Maintaining MIS / ERP systems for all store products.
• Planning and maintaining effective product displays.
• Handling day-to-day store maintenance.
• Managing daily promotional activities such as:
  • Social media updates.
  • News and announcements.
  • Documentation of visiting guests.

Essential Skills Required:

Applicants should possess the following skills:

• Strong public relations and customer handling skills.
• Good written and verbal communication abilities.
