ICAR NEH Region Umiam Recruitment 2025 – Educational Qualification

Essential Qualification:

• Post Graduate in Agriculture (Soil Science / Agronomy / Microbiology) with NET or equivalent qualification.

Desirable Qualification:

Preference will be given to Ph.D. candidates in Soil Science or those with research experience in:

• Soil and plant analysis
• Statistical data analysis
• Scientific publications

ICAR NEH Region Umiam Recruitment 2025 – Age Limit

• The candidate’s age should be between 21 and 45 years as on the date of publication of the advertisement.
• The upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST candidates and 3 years for OBC candidates.

ICAR NEH Region Umiam Recruitment 2025 – General Instructions

• The appointment is purely temporary and contractual, initially for one year.
• Duration of the project is tentative and may change as per requirement.
• The selected person will have no claim for permanent employment at ICAR after the contract ends.
• No TA/DA will be provided for attending the interview.
• Candidates already employed must produce a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their employer.
• Applicants should bring original documents (diploma/degree certificates, mark sheets, experience, thesis, publications etc.) for verification.
• If the selected candidate opts to stay in an institute quarter, HRA will be deducted.
• The emolument may be revised as per ICAR or funding agency rules.
• ICAR reserves the right to cancel or postpone the interview without assigning any reason.
• The institute may terminate the contract at any time before the project’s completion without appeal.
